Who or what inspired you to start your business?
I’ve always had an affinity with experiences surrounding wellness and sustainability, and noticed it was a saturated market in places like New York, Portland, Austin, and LA — but definitely lacking in Miami, where I am from.
I was surrounded by the luxury business while I working at Miami Design District, and felt there was a huge disconnect when it came to bridging authenticity and luxury together. My holistic lifestyle evidently gave me the idea to launch CADA.
A new kind of agency. Boutique-style. Allowing all the creative juice to flow while supporting what truly matters.
What was your biggest struggle when starting out?
Finding the right team to work with and learning to delegate. Managing a team overall was a struggle for me, and it wasn’t until my sister joined and became a co-founder and partner that the business took off.
It took a long time, but now our team, mentors, and coaches who we work with have believed in our vision, and to this day continue to make it a reality. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for all the tremendous work of our contributor writers, contractors, and partners. Organizations and places as well.
Community is everything, and to be surrounded by the right ones is the cherry on top.
What podcasts are you listening to or business books are you reading right now?
I’m listening to:
Food, Sex, & Money by Kenzie Burke
Expanded by Lacy Phillips (To Be Magnetic)
A Bit of Optimism by Simon Sinek
What mindset shifts have you made to set your business up for success?
I meditate every single morning and try to practice self-care as much as I can. During our weekly team meeting we end the call with affirmations for the week.
How do you decide on what images to use for your brand?
I like to use imagery that has good lighting and earthy tones. Not too many textures or bright colors. It has to align with our pastel color palette and minimal aesthetic.
What’s your favorite Haute Stock collection?
They’re all amazing! Loving the Staycation, Beauty Routine, and Eco-Kitchen collections.
What has been your biggest business lesson learned?
The times are changing and with technology by our side, we have the potential to work smarter. Consistency is key, but it doesn’t mean we have to work harder or burn ourselves out.
Invest in yourself and your team. Trust the process and enjoy the journey.
